I love books. Especially non-fiction Christian books that encourage, spread hope, and spark growth.
Part of being a blogger gives me opportunities in the writer world like getting sneak peaks at up and coming books!
You must read these three books in 2019!
Christian Book #1
“Hope in the Hard Places” by Sarah Beckman
I got to meet Sarah after she spoke at one of our local MOPS meetings.
Her words of encouragement spoke right into my life and I knew she was the real deal.
You don’t need to have a faith to receive the practical advice in these pages. But you will leave gently challenged with new perspectives.
Christian Book #2
“Mended: Restoring the Hearts of Mothers and Daughters” by Blythe Daniel
Ok, in full honesty, I haven’t started reading this book, yet.
But, my interest is piqued and from the description I know it’s worth a read!
Mended gives you conversation starters to speak life into your relationship with your mother or daughter. Discover powerful words that usher in healing for wounded hearts and rebuild, restore, and reconcile your connection. Set new patterns for your relationship and family line going forward.
I am fortunate to have a good relationship with my own mother. But I feel like there will be a lot I can learn regarding relationship through reading Mended.
Plus, I love having referral material in my back pocket to encourage various women I meet.
Christian Book #3
“Have More Fun: How to Be Remarkable, Stop Feeling Stuck, and Start Enjoying Life” by Mandy Arioto
Mandy is the current CEO for an organization near and dear to my heart, MOPS Intl.
I love this movement of women that seek to encourage each other in motherhood and grow in community.
This book is also on my list to read ASAP!
The Devotional You Must Read in 2019
Slow Down, Mama! A Thirty-One Day Devotional to Help You Slow and Savor by Patty H Scott
This short and sweet devotional will be released in early March 2019. It is absolutely perfect for the busy and tired mama.
I’ve had the amazing privilege to begin reading early and I know you’ll find Patty’s words refreshing too.
Stay tuned in the weeks to come because I’ll get to share more with you!
